I’ve been against the death Penalty since I was a kid, at first because it “felt wrong”, but later because I realized that courts are made of people and people make mistakes. To jail someone mistakenly requires only that you free them and apologize. To execute someone mistakenly kills an innocent person. When I see rulings like this one saying that the Federal death penalty is unconstitutional, I think that the world might be a slightly better place. Now if the states could follow suit.
